TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance

By using FNEWSTEER (the "Service") — including the website, Chrome extension, Android app, REST API, or MCP server — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description

FNEWSTEER is a free, open-source informational tool that surfaces scheduled economic calendar data from ForexFactory. It provides CLEAR/BLOCKED signals based on predefined time windows around high-impact events. The Service includes a Chrome extension, Android mobile app, REST API, and MCP server for AI assistants.

3. Not Financial Advice

The Service does not provide financial, investment, or trading advice. CLEAR/BLOCKED signals are based purely on scheduled calendar events and do not account for market conditions, your specific strategy, risk tolerance, or any other factor. Do not rely on FNEWSTEER as a basis for financial decisions.

4. No Guarantees

The Service is provided "as is" with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Calendar data may be stale, incomplete, or incorrect. Blackout windows are opinionated defaults and may not suit your strategy. The Service may be unavailable due to cold starts, maintenance, or outages.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors of FNEWSTEER shall not be liable for any trading losses, financial damages, or any other harm arising from your use of the Service.

6. Third-Party Data

Economic event data is sourced from ForexFactory. FNEWSTEER does not own or guarantee the accuracy of that data. ForexFactory's own terms of service govern their data.

7. Open Source

FNEWSTEER is open-source under the applicable license in the GitHub repositories. Use, modification, and distribution are subject to those license terms.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any revised terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date above.
