What We Collect

The FNEWSTEER website (this static site) collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics trackers, and no forms that submit personal information.

Chrome Extension

The Chrome Extension stores your API key and watchlist locally in chrome.storage.sync, synced by Chrome to your Google account if signed in. We do not receive, access, or store this data on our servers.

Mobile App

The FNEWSTEER Android app stores all user data locally on your device only. This includes:

• Watchlist — your saved currency pairs, stored in AsyncStorage on-device
• Settings — notification preferences, window overrides, stored in AsyncStorage on-device
• API key — stored in expo-secure-store, encrypted on-device, never transmitted to FNEWSTEER servers
• Notification state — deduplication keys for scheduled notifications, stored in AsyncStorage, cleared automatically

No personal data is sent to FNEWSTEER servers. Background fetch tasks query the FNEWSTEER API with your symbol preferences only — no device identifiers, no location, no personal information.

The app does not use analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or advertising networks.

API Requests

When you query the FNEWSTEER API (directly or via the extension or mobile app), your request — including the symbol queried and API key — is processed by our hosted server. We do not log individual request data beyond what is required for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Third Parties

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. No advertising networks, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts are used on any FNEWSTEER property.

Economic event data is sourced from ForexFactory. FNEWSTEER does not control or guarantee the privacy practices of ForexFactory.
